Dog + Guess was invited to first screening at Market Square of The Friend and brought along their owners.

After red carpet were interviews by KISS 92.5 personality Maurie Sherman, everyone stayed for the film.

Naomi Watts and Bill Murray star in The Friend, the heartwarming
story of a woman who finds her comfortable Manhattan lifestyle turned
completely upside down when she inherits – against her wishes – a 151
lb. Harlequin Great Dane from her best friend.  Based on Sigrid Nunez’s
best-selling novel, the film is from powerhouse writing-directing team
Scott McGehee and David Siegel.  It played as a Gala at TIFF 2024.

The Friend is was released in Canada by Mongrel Media.
